About Me

My name is Alex Elkins. I got my Ph.D. in History from Temple University in December 2017. I currently live in Metro Detroit. I teach as a Lecturer at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and I work full-time as a union organizer for the Lecturers’ Employee Organization.

  1. I’d like a copy of yr diss. I’m also interested in citations re the Cincinnati material in your 2015 Jacobin piece. I am writing a book called My White Body: An Institutional History. The first two chapters (completed) are set in Cincinnati, but I’d love to add to the narrative, re the 1967 rebellion.

  2. Hi Dr. Elkins, I’d love a copy of your diss. I’m writing about contemporary counter-surveillance and sousveillance and would love to see what you’ve dug up about pre-Black Panthers cop-fighting and cop watching.
